Make Rainbow Spaghetti !

Cooking Time: 15 minutes

Additional Time: 10 minutes (Chilling)

Serves: 5

Ingredients:

1/2 teaspoon of each food colouring you would like to use (I used green, blue, red, orange, pink & yellow)
1 tablespoon oil
500g spaghetti
6 zip lock bags or containers (depending on how many food colourings you use)

Method:

1..Boil some water in a large saucepan then add pasta and the oil. Cook pasta until completely cooked through, stirring every few minutes.

2..While pasta is cooking, put food colouring in bags/containers with 1/4 C of water (if you would like the colour lighter add more water, if you would like it darker add more food colouring) if you're using zip lock bags, zip up the bag then swish it around, if you're using containers mix each with a spoon.

3..Once the pasta is cooked, strain it & rinse it in cold water, to cool it down quicker. Then portion out the pasta into each ziplock bag/containers. Mix the pasta around in the food colouring and let it sit for about 10 minutes to soak up the colouring.

4..Once the pasta has soaked in the colouring for 10 or so minutes, put the pasta (one colour each time) in the strainer & rinse under cold water again. now place all the coloured pasta together in a bowl & enjoy, to eat or to play with!

Notes:

i got red, green, blue, pink & yellow food colourings from the store & i made orange by mixing a bit of red with yellow.
it doesn't taste different to none coloured pasta and goes good with any normal pasta e.g. pasta sauce & meatballs.
