You heard of getting in shape for summer, but we overlook the importance of getting in shape and remaining in shape for the winter months. Many of us don’t want to work out in the winter and put it off lifestyle changes until the New Year. Why wait?
Make a Plan
Be intentional and come up with a game plan. Look at trying a new yoga class, or buying new workout clothes, GAIAM is not only comfortable, well-made, but competitive.
Get Outdoors
Before it gets too cold get outside by power walking, hiking or jogging. Gradually build up your endurance or as recommended by your doctor.
Find People with the Same Goals
Find a group of walking buddies to help you stay focused, and encouraged. Habits take at least one month to form, and with the help of others, this can become a powerful tool to reach fitness goals.
Unhealthy Eating
Watch and cut back on calories now, to remain trim and to drop weight if needed. Try assessing how much refined sugars you are eating.
Play Sports
Look at outdoor sports like soccer, snowboarding, skiing, horse riding lessons, or taking skating lessons to stay fit.
