How to change the language options in PaintShop Pro

If you want to change the language of your PaintShop Photo Pro X3, you can change it from the Preferences option. For the complete steps, please follow the steps below.  You will need to scroll to the bottom for instructions on version X4.


1. You can click on FILE menu then PREFERENCES then select SWITCH LANGUAGE...

2. On the SWITCH LANGUAGE screen, just select your prefered language then click on OK.

3. You will need to restart PaintShop Photo Pro X3 for the settings to take effect.  

If your PaintShop Photo Pro X3 is already in a different language but wish to change it to English, since the menus and window are just the same, you can just follow the same set of steps. Here's the same steps with the language of the program is in Spanish.

1. You can click on FILE menu then PREFERENCES then select SWITCH LANGUAGE...

2. On the SWITCH LANGUAGE screen, just select your prefered language then click on OK.

3. You will need to restart PaintShop Photo Pro X3 for the settings to take effect. 


To change languages in PaintShop Pro X4, you can follow the same steps as above.  However, you will need to make sure that the languages are first installed before you can switch to them.  If you did not install the additional languages the first time, you can still install them now without uninstalling your whole program.  Follow these steps:

1.  Go to START > Control Panel

2.  Select either one of these options in the Control Panel for Vista or 7

In Windows XP, there will be an Uninstall Programs Icon.  Simply click on that.

3.  Select the program you wish to change by highlighting it in the list, and select the modify or change button.

4.  The next screen that will appear will ask you to Repair, Modify, or Remove.  Select Modify from the list and click the Next button.

5.  From the list in the next screen, select the languages you would like to install and then select the Begin button.

6.  Once the language packs have been installed, simply use the steps at the beginning of the article to switch languages in version X4.
