Have you ever planned on eating steak for dinner only to realize you forgot to defrost it? Well, according to Foodbeast, there's a hack for that.
You'll just need two metal pots and some good old room-temperature H20. Simply turn one metal pot upside down and place the frozen steak on top.
Then fill the second pot with water (just to make it heavier) and place it on top. In five minutes your 1cm-thick steak will be completely defrosted. And a 5cm-thick steak only takes 10 minutes.
What exactly causes the steak to magically defrost? Metal conducting heat, of course! Metals like aluminum are able to conduct ambient heat, which in this case is enough to defrost a steak!
